Terminate, Tense, Tight Shoulders:  Thursday, September 24, 2020 • REGISTER HERE!

When we have limitations and tension in the shoulder region, it can lead to neck pain, upper back problems and even breathing problems. In this Workshop we will open and then strengthen this very important joint, learning about the anatomy so that you can care for yourself afterwards. Using our new ranges of movement, we will explore the adventurous Inversion Poses of yoga. We will move gradually, safely and adapt poses to the needs of attending students. Teachers will be guided to more challenging versions and newer students will be gently guided as they begin the important first steps. Our limitations begin in the mind and ripple into the body. By moving upside down in poses, it shatters our mind’s limitations leading to a lighter perspective that can see new possibilities and joy.

This workshop is safe for those who have had some yoga practice and are able to hold Downward Facing Dog and Plank Pose for 30 seconds. Ladies on their cycle are welcome, you will practice similar modifications with us.

Hip Openers for Everyone: Friday, September 25, 2020 • REGISTER HERE!

Most of us sit or stand for the greater part of our waking time. Many of us hold tension and hidden emotions in our hips. Thus, our hips can become tight, which ripples into issue with the lower back, knees and feet. This three-hour workshop focuses on opening the hips from all six directions. We begin with a short explanation about the anatomy of the hips and the emotional and energetic qualities that are related to these regions. Then we will move through a flow practice to warm up the body, followed with long deep holds in poses to release tight muscles in the Physical Body. Unique in this workshop is the application of Chakra Work through imagery, mantra and breathing techniques that release holding in the Subtle and Emotional Body, where tightness in the hips can originate. The workshop ends in a challenging pose, which varies depending on the group, which many students get surprised to find themselves master.

Radiance of Fire – A Tantric Core Workshop: Saturday, September 26, 2020 • REGISTER HERE!

Our center, known as the “kunda” or oven in Sanskrit, is where our internal fire is contained. We need this fire for healthy digestion of food, mental activity and emotional experiences. It helps us feel confident and stable as we enter the unexpected in life. We will practice in a unique way of doing yoga poses and movements that focus on strengthening and stretching the entire torso. You will learn to access, light, build and maintain your flame so that it shines brightly. This radiation comes through the spark in your eyes, the glow of your skin and expands your whole aura. Students have loved this method of practicing and request repeated opportunities to practice in this manner. You will leave feeling peacefully powerful and sitting taller than ever before! (Those with limitations in knees, hips and feet are welcome!)

Tantra Yoga & The Chakras: Sunday, September 27, 2020 • REGISTER HERE!
4:00 – 6;00 pm IST / 8:00 – 10:00 am PST / 11:00 am – 2:00 pm EST

This workshop opens with a 30-minute explanation on the Chakras, their qualities and effects. The idea of Kundalini and how it works is also discussed. A yoga practice follows that introduces postures directly connected with each Chakra. Students are guided through visualization, mantra and breathing techniques that help free energy around the Chakras to allow the movement of Kundalini to percolate. The workshop ends with a Pranayama practice and a Tantric meditation that opens the Kundalini channels for spiritual awakening. Students leave with more awareness and freedom in these energy centers and tools to continue parts of the practice on their own. A handout on the Chakras is included in the workshop.
